Day-shannel. Huh. I never knew that.

The books! I never read them in the paper, I used to read them online and I have 2 of the books.

So that still gives people the right to continue to call her outside of her label? Sounds like a bunch of excuse making to me. One of her main complaints is the erasing of her identity. None of what you said is a reason for someone to continue to call someone a feminist who actively refuses said label.

Switched at Birth is a guilty pleasure of mine, but it's planted a seed of love for ASL. I think it's an absolutely beautiful language. Another reason they should have shown her, to help raise awareness in the hearing community.

YES! Latrice is just so damn sweet and caring. I loved the conversation Latrice had with LaShawn near the beginning of the episode.

I love Salley's Biggie Smalls impression.

Not Princess, it was LaShawn with the gumballs. Lashawn lost against Princess who had a "Rocker" look.

I did I did I did! Well, the first half, I plan on watching the second half when I get home from class.

When I was reading through the comments an hour and a half ago I was disappointed to not find one of yours, especially with the Christina item! Good thing I came back.

Okay, I meant to leave this comment about an hour and a half ago. At that time no one had mentioned it, perhaps someone has now, but I will still say this:

Have you read Womanist Musing's post about the backlash she got from a Feminist Facebook group after she had supported them? They repeatedly refused to acknowledge her identity as a womanist and a variety of other things (and of course, it all reaffirmed her decision to not call herself a feminist and to adopt the

But, in her case it doesn't hold true. She doesn't have to conform, she can have crazy colors for as long as she'd like.

Replying to promote, for some reason it won't let me promote this one!

Erm, no I don't believe they do. If they do then it is a little known non-Bank holiday.

That's how I read it as well.

I think that the comics may be a better introduction for some people. I've only watched one episode of The Boondocks, but from what I've heard from others, a LOT goes over people's heads. I think the comics are harder to misunderstand. Or maybe some people just won't understand ever

The Fourth of July is not a celebration of all of the achievements that the US has gone through. The Fourth of July is also a specific holiday, and contrary to what someone else mentioned, Native Americans have absolutely nothing to do with the Fourth of July. It seems wrong, in fact, to try and imply that the Fourth

President's Day is not meant to celebrate all of the Presidents. It's not just a "woohoo check out all the great presidents we've had". It's in honor of George Washington. Obama is not George Washington and never will be, and therefore President's Day will never really be about him.

Ha, understandable. I think that's better than my problem. I don't approve comments ever (I did once or twice and they were people I personally knew) out of my paranoid fear that people are just pretending to be great commenters, waiting to be approved, and then they'd trolltrolltrolltrolltroll.

No, it just means Dodai edited it, as she can edit any of our posts. Don't know why she edited it, but there's no reason for Dodai to suddenly become Cassie Murdoch. So she can work weekends and nights?Pretend to be a different race for a while? Plus, Cassie has her own history that one can find via Googling
