The only game I ever paid full price for at release. Somehow I just knew it was going to be amazing.
I came to the same conclusion, after trying to explore freely on the way to New Vegas, and quit. Nothing was sucking me in. I kind of painted myself into a corner somehow too, and ended up with barely any ammo, ragged guns, and Deathclaws and Romans spawning all around me. Plus, the color palate got old much faster.
At least he signaled.
