I’d like very much for it to not become a car vs cyclist thing, and I totally sympathize with some of the danger that comes with cycling. I kind of see road rage and bike rage like online trolling and harassment, at least as far as observing this effect that hiding behind a machine has on some of us.
I don’t care to fan any flames, and I love my mountain bike. I rode for years in urban areas during college, loved it. I just see firsthand these bikers everywhere that scorn the populace, yelling at people to use crosswalks, the whistles, banging on cars for no reason.
There’s a lot of hate towards cars in biking circles, whether it’s BMX or Cannondale. They’ve got this weird “take back the streets” punk mentality, don’t personally understand it.
“Re-donkalus”, more likely.
Unadultered jealousy is keeping me from reading this full article. Would hate to own one of these, but would love to do exactly this.
