Also it’s just damn cool to know that there are people out there who will pay $130 for this tiny piece of cardboard you got in a pack for $5. So, push forth through this gallery to discover the most valuable cards in Crown Zenith, now it’s been out for a couple of weeks.”

Same thing happened with the RE show. She seemed fine it’s just that every character was written like they were an idiot.

She did the best she could with the script they gave her. If this game manages a sequel I’m sure Frey will learn to read a room finally.

It seems like live service games can’t live in a saturated market, and that makes sense. When Destiny came out, it was kind of a now thing (not counting MMOs.) that kind of seems how it serviced into destiny 2 and into today, they had enough of an OG audience that stuck with it. There is only so much of the market

Yeah, I think it depends on the genre — obviously a game that relies on a persistent world needs continuous online support. But for something like MK11, I’ve seen fans whine about “DEAD GAME”, and it’s like:

Given the online nature I think there was a reasonable expectation this would be supported for more than a year, but it seems the financial realities of the game performing well but not doing gangbusters ended those plans. Which makes sense and is totally understandable.

I maintain that Mario Kart 8 is, bizarrely, one of the best examples of a multiplayer focused, post launch supported game in the current era. While obviously it’s now receiving a massive content injection, initially it just released like four map packs and then coasted for 8 years on just that and a re-release that

Someone googled “Airplane” and “Israel”, and this was the first image.

Fortnite was lightning in a bottle when they recycled the first iteration. I immediately knew this game would go the way of Paragon. I often wonder if Epic will ever strike gold again, not that they have to with engine licensees being at an all time high.

They’ve become a too-big-to-fail studio internally. I hope that

it’d have been completely brigaded by the GamerGate crowd literally just because black woman

Probably the only reason why I will pointedly go out of my way to buy this game, because fuck the haters.

Is it about dealing with the lack of a father, or about dealing with being an insufferable one-upper?

Now playing

Forespoken is boring. It’s a boring world to explore with an unlikeable character. Play the new SpongeBob game. It’s so much fun!

Absolutely solid review!

I’m also not a fan of silent protagonists (they are a little too antiquated in my opinion), a talking character needs to be *very* compelling, otherwise it can become very annoying to play a game (that’s why I steered clear away from High on Life).

I will never understand people who prefer silent protagonists...

Nothing takes me out of a game’s world more than some monumental shit happening and the main character just standing there in an idle animation.

60 bucks is a lotta spondulix to pwn the chuds.

The protagonist has a severe case of trying to out-suffer everyone she talks to. “Your father died? well reverse uno card, I’m an orphan and NEVER met mine!” kinda thing is so annoying to me because I met people that are like that, that no matter what you tell them they try to out do you as if everything is a
