And that is why it is such a bummer. The episodes from season one had actual plot lines that were quirky and unusual, not to mention hilarious. In my opinion, there is nothing hilarious about R/M as much anymore.

I'll keep watching but keep hoping for the day when the show is zany and goofy again. But I agree, not a fan.

I second that. As I stated above, even since season one I feel the show has lost charm. It's no longer the witty science adventure coated in existential banter laced with nihilistic undertones. Rather the overarching tendency is to thematically and almost militantly unpack the meaninglessness of everything. I know

I don't know if 'shit' is the right word, but there is some lack of "charm" that I so dearly miss from season one. Season 2 had a few episodes that were zany and goofy, but 3 so far hasn't been overly impressive.
