The increase in THC is the result of western medicine’s obsession for finding a single compound from an herbal medicine that can be easily manufactured, and calling that medicine. And yes, THC is the only component demonstrated to induce psychosis, in it’s synthetic form anyway.
Turns out that some people have genetic variants that predict an affinity for the herb, and that these variants also accompany the divergent thought conditions; ADD/ADHD, bipolar and major depression, autistic spectrum, and schizophrenia.
