My wife and I just caught up on episodes five through eight the other night. This mid-season was the first time I’ve watched an episode of TWD and thought, ‘this is too much, get on with it’.

Something of note. The hierarchy of canon in Star Wars was Movies, Books, Screenplay, Radio drame, everything else prior to the Disney acquisition.

Like, everything. I really don’t get into weird stuff that’s typical of anime. So, when Brotherhood began diverging from the FMA original anime, I started losing interest. I basically slogged through the back half of Brotherhood.

I absolutely hated Brotherhood. I had watched FMA’s original anime series, so when people told me that Brotherhood was more to the manga I decided to try it out.

I feel Lucas should have let the EU do that over the course of the books. So I’m okay with them weeding the garden and making way for new characters.

It was okay to me. Pretty decent setup for the garbage the series was overall.

You’re right, that’s the full explanation. They were looking for the next exciting thing. Lucas also nixed their Sith/Dark Jedi angle they wanted to go with. Both that, and Anakin Solo getting killed was because of the Prequels.
