I noticed that too. Please, tell me this dude had to cobble his sabre together and it resulted in this unstable mess. That to me would add much depth to the character.

Yeah, I realized that, and I can't edit. I replied to myself, but I don't think anyone else can actually see it.

I could take that as an in universe explanation. I'm more just on the strategy of a whole new trilogy. I'm thinking fresh start and all.

True, since we can't go by EU anymore. Though the novelization actually makes mentions of them, and I think it lists them as newer craft. Really, I wouldn't have used them in the trailer either.

I thought that looked pretty interesting really. Though, now that you've given me that image in my head, I hope I don't crack up when I go see the movie.

Wow, first you're condescending, now you're being a prick. Wish I'd left you in the greys.

You are the perfect person. Thank you a million times!!!

Ack, can't edit! I'm not pissed by any means, and I'm not really disappointed. I just kinda scratch my head at the decision. Really, I was just like, 'huh', but all the discussions now have me going deeper into it. LoL!

I'm old enough to have first run action figures from the OT. When that trailer for TPM hit I was excited. All the new ships, and environments. It's such a huge universe, and that was something the EU could never truly grasp in my opinion.

Quick edit: It's thirty years, not fifty. I don't know why I though fifty for whatever reason.

As an audience, no one would have to know they're looking at an E Wing. Really, that's just an example that they could have gone with a new ship, and we'd have a big buzz going. As in, what's that, where'd it come from?

Yeah, I noticed some tweaks to it. I just have a different mindset for the strategy overall. I've watched the trailer probably ten times now. I just fired up my PS4 so I could watch it on the 60".

I'm still not sure how I feel about the Falcon being in there. In a way it's like 'Hell Yeah!', but then again that's another one that probably should have been retired.

That cross guard sabre. I'm all on board for. Plus, the little rolling droid gives me hope that some of the light heartedness is intact.

Technically this is Star Wars, so all the parts are good parts. My strategy overall would have been to introduce some new visuals. So with this super early teaser it would have had some new craft buzzing around. A later full trailer would have these versions thrown in too. If that much really.

It's an angle of a new story, new trilogy. This is a chance for them to have a fresh start in all of their areas. I expect certain underlying things to be there (i.e. the Force, lightsabres, hyperspace). The hardware itself could have been different.

My opinion on it is more of the movie side of it. It's a new trilogy, new story, there's a lot of new characters. It's a chance to really get everything fresh and new.

Your comment doesn't hardly make sense.

Those are definitely an X Wing design, since the Z95 didn't have sfoils like that. As far as TIE's they were only effective in the fact they could mass produce them like toilet tissue. I'm just hoping they don't fall back too much on what's been done already is my real concern.

They're not totally different. They're almost identical with a few slight changes. Regardless of what they had there, it's still an awesome shot. I definitely can't wait to see what they put together.
