After the twentieth fucking reply of bullshit like this I could really care less what the USA is doing with their military. I'm talking about a perspective of the movie designs. Brand new trilogy, brand new story, different age essentially.

I'm not judging anything. I'm saying they could have taken this opportunity to bring in something new and different.

It's not entirely different. Looks like they cut off a portion so they fit flat against each other. It's just we're going into a new trilogy, that's decades later. I was kind of hoping for some new designs to be added to the universe really.

Because this is a MOVIE! Something that distances itself from what's already done. I expect some underlying things to remain (Force, lightsabres, hyperspace), but was kind of expecting a little more creative freedom going on.

Mustangs haven't kept anything similar except for having four wheels. I'm just thinking they could have made some better evolutions really.

Considering they have Y Wings, introduced A Wings, and Bwings in Return of the Jedi I was expecting something that wasn't so close. I'm not disappointed, but one of the problems I had with the EU was their constant fallback to what the OT had shown.
