Ahem... 2011 Yaris on the salt at Bonneville, 111 MPH indicated.
I have never, ever, heard my wife drop the F-bomb. This video just made me realize that. And it also reminded me about how fortunate I am to be married to her. YMMV.
After the race...
Having poured babbitt bearings, this article doesn’t make me just feel old... it makes me feel positively ancient.
Yep... turns out the bikers had it right all along...
I kind of like the S197 with the classic rear axle; if nothing else it’s simple, strong and durable. However, I understand the advantages of IRS... and having driven the two cars basically back-to-back, there isn’t any doubt that the S550 has an advantage over the S197. The live axle car would have a definite kick…
Just traded my ‘14 V6 for a ‘17 GT. Insurance is 9 bucks more per month for the GT. Admittedly, I’m a middle-aged guy, which makes a difference.
I had a 2014 V6 with 6 speed manual and the Performance Pack, and it was wonderful. Even with the 3:31 gears, it would get 25-29 MPG on the highway, and cruised at 100 MPH effortlessly.

“Hey Mustang - Hold my beer and watch THIS!” - Viper.
That crash was RUFF! I’ll show myself out...
I’m a bit ashamed at how much this made me laugh...
My dad had a 1914 Case steam traction engine when I was a teenager. Although it is no longer in my family, at 103 years old it is still running well for its current owner.
Admittedly, I wasn’t shopping for six-figure exotics, but I did have an excellent experience at the local Porsche dealer when I dropped by in my low-end Mustang. I can’t say I’m in the market for a Cayman right now, but the positive experience will definitely make me consider one when the time is right. A negative…
I don’t know that my wife is especially a car person, but she is very fond of her present car. And we have enjoyed the process of selecting her next car, although she has already made it clear that we will not be replacing her beloved present car, just buying a new one to supplement it. Heh, heh... I like the way she…
My wife’s beloved Yaris is scheduled to be replaced next year. She hasn’t settled on what exactly is going to replace it, although the Honda Fit is the front runner.
“He spins a Porsche at 160 mph, no matter what you think the instrumentation says. His heart rate actually decreases as his hands flail at the steering wheel. He hits the gravel and calls it the best save ever. He is... THE STIG.”
You are correct of course, it was very much Daewoo. So, does a “real” Suzuki suffer from the same parts availability issues? Or would I still be stuck paying exorbitant prices at the sketchy local dealer? Shoot... I don’t even think that dealer is there anymore...
In the past, I’ve had good luck with Suzuki motorcycles. So when my wife wanted to buy a Suzuki Forenza back in aught-six, I went along with it without objection.
