Wait, do people not find this relatable? I mean, I'm not a rich man in the 1970s (or even a rich man today), but the dialogue in this film is very similar to how me and my friends talk after a few beers.

It was okay, but I really preferred the book (and I'm from New Zealand, where we don't even play baseball). I think Soderbergh's pitch for Moneyball sounded like it could have been a lot better and I'm hoping this movie goes in a similar direction.
While the trailer isn't particularly interesting, I'm hoping this is going to be the movie Moneyball should have been. In my opinion, McCarthy is a very good director (I haven't seen The Cobbler though) and the scenes which are actually shown seem to indicate this isn't going to be overwrought melodrama being sold by…
I think Bruce Timm actually has his own comics universe where he has complete control. He just made the Justice League: Gods and Monsters movie and has released a whole lot of tie-in comics set in that universe.
As my profile picture suggests, I agree whole-heartedly. My brother was arguing that you need to know comics to enjoy Astro City but I don't think it matters.
I really liked the version of Pym that was on Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The idea of him as a scientist who was much more interested in pacifist solutions than fighting was great and offered a point of contrast with the other superheroes.
I also used to really like Cracked as well. But, apart from the more journalistic pieces you mentioned, it has been in a steep decline. Much like the AV Club. In fact, it is pretty much the same scenario.
I remember a similar scene in Daybreakers, I think it is becoming a common part of modern vampire stories. (http://www.imdb.com/title/t… Is this the Thirst you are talking about?
I actually thought the Master's plan was pretty good. I mean, he was basically introducing agriculture to the vampire community.
I think you are definitely right about Lets Plays making more sense for multiplayer games. I can't stand Lets Plays (or most content created for youtube), but I do enjoy watching Tabletop and I think a big part of that is because watching a group of people play creates banter and natural comedy.
That is what I meant to write, somehow I managed to miss the 0.
Yep, "Bowling" is season 2 episode 2 and the "Long Drive" episode is Season 4 Episode 11
I'm not sure whether it is in America, but the whole show was released with original music in Britain recently. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mal…
That Dewey B-Plot is great, but my favourite is the bowling episode which, to the best of my knowledge, also happens to be the only episode the AV Club has covered. Coming in at a close second is the "Long Drive" episode which has a lot of great plots, including one where Dewey almost destroys Hal and Abe's band.
As a Chiefs fan I also found the game frustrating, especially because (barring that great chip kick try) the Highlanders appeared to have a much more dynamic back line. However, I did think it was a good sign for the season that this is the second week running the Chief's have been the second best team on the park and…
I think the reason Malcolm in the Middle gets short shrift in conversations about TV history is that until recently it didn't have a proper DVD release. I've said it before, but I think the AV Club should do a TV Club Classic on Malcolm in the Middle to try and bring attention to it.
