While you're right about it being different which one is 'better' is entirely a personal viewpoint. I'm glad you liked BvS and found something you enjoyed and were invested in in that film. I'm also disappointed for you that you watched Supergirl and didn't get more out of it because it's always irritating to invest

The main difference between this fight and the BvS one? We actually gave a damn about both participants. Well… that and both are good people that you want to like, the setup actually made at least comicbook levels of sense, you could actually see what was going on, it didn't end with a Marthtality…. But, you know,

Umm… I… might sorta have maybe snickered at that. The JLU (and, indeed, Timmverse in general) always walked a very fine line between Superman being the ultimate asskicker and being a wee bit overconfident. Thought it was a nice take on the character and stopped him becoming insufferable as most long-running versions

Let me really spoil your day with a quick bit of fanfic (based on the last episode of Justice League Unlimited). Imagine a full blown Darkseid arc that ends with his purpleness in the wreck of the DEO being his typical smug self. Alex drops out of the shadows, sticks something explosive on him, rolls away. It, of

Oh thanks, thanks for that. I now have the image of Kara going toe to toe with Darkseid (voiced by Michael Ironside of course) and it'll never, ever happen. Bugger.

"For instance, after Rhea ruthlessly ignores the rules of combat, why do Kara and co. remain so committed to the single combat fight?" In fairness the team part of team Supergirl was needed everywhere else to try and contain the fighting so there wasn't much they could do at that point. Supergirl continuing the fight

"The show sacrifices long-term goals for short term pleasures" To offer a different view: the show remembers that even in TV land it's unlikely someone who's grown to adulthood in an environment that treats relationships a certain way and has bought into that view 100% would change all of that in one moment of clarity

I kinda hope that they take their time and really build Lena up over a few series with her eventual turn being more like the MCU version of Civil War with some big (most likely alien-related) issue coming up and her and Kara ending up on opposite sides.

Just before Mon El says that there's a cut away to Kara adjusting her glasses and *boy* did it look like a 'be very, very careful about your next words or I will happily melt your face' moment.

Genuine question but… has Melissa put a foot wrong since she donned the cape? I'm really struggling to think of anything bad from her which in a season and a half of a show finding its feet not once but twice thanks to the network move is remarkable. Hell, in the preview for next week she even manages to pull off "You

Oliver: "Don't go easy on us."
*Time space rift opens up, Flash from five minutes in the future sticks his head through*
Future!Flash: "Yeah, about that… could you go a little easy on them, what's left just gummed up the wet vac"
