No :( I'm just going to keep saying that until it's true. In all seriousness I think a year from now is realistic. They've got some songs written, polish off a couple more, ship em to Maynard and get this fucker recorded. "It's not good when it's done, it's done when it's good" - A. Jones.

And, coming in November 2017, new Tool album!

I would recommend giving it another shot, take it slow, let it really sink its teeth in.

Oh my liege, how you disappoint me! Lateralus is a truly great album!

This is off the top of my head, but a couple years ago Norm was on the Bill Simmons podcast and he talked about A Minute With Stan Hooper. And I believe he said that there was this whole plan for the main character's wife to get murdered and for it to turn suddenly into like some dark mystery. Too lazy to google it

For some reason that just slayed me. I listened to it on my commute then went back later and found it on Youtube and it just got better seeing his fucking goofy ass expression at the end.

“He is funny in a way that some people inhale and exhale. With others, you can tell the comedy, the humor is considered. With Norm, he exudes it. It’s sort of a furnace in him because he’s so effortless. The combination of the delivery and his appearance and his intelligence. There may be people as funny as Norm, but

"avoid knee-jerk immediacy" "thoughtful, high-end analysis" "force people to read" this is unconscionable! Kidding obviously, that makes sense. It's too bad they don't feel they can have both, I'm so peripherally aware of games lately it would be nice to know when one blows everyone away. Kind of like when I see a

I'm new here (well not really, but I am too lazy to try to figure out an answer to my question) but is there a reason why videogame reviews don't have letter grades? Enough with the nuanced analysis, I want to see cold harsh judgement!

It will eventually come out, they've made too much progress at this point to abandon it. The wait has been brutal though; I think at one point Danny said they hoped to have it done by the end of 2011(!) About to go see them in Denver in a few weeks, I'll report back.

Coming to record stores in October of 2017: new Tool album.

Thee Oh Sees, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard

"THAT'S RIGHT, NEW ENGLAND! I'M NOT JUST INSIDE YOUR HEAD ANYMORE! THE JETS SUPERTHREAD IS COMING FROM INSIDE YOUR HOUSE!"
Classic stuff! I've missed B&T and the superthread.

We are impatiently waiting for your reviews my Liege!

My biggest complaint with Stranger Things was that when they were shotgunning the beers the end they were cutting open was lower than the top. Beer would have been spraying everywhere!

I love the anecdotes about the opposing players, too. I live in LA so I don't watch the Mariners that much, but when they played an inter-league series against the Dodgers I don't think I ever heard as many quirky, interesting and cool stories about players on the team I rooted for in such a short time.

Haha, yeah exactly - plus there's enough pseudo logic and earnestness to them that makes it kind of endearing to me. Even when my reaction to his actual point is more like "Oh, come on!"

I've never been into superhero movies at all (just not my thing), but I'm going to see this one. Fanny Alger: "present".

Really looks like Cutty. I had to look up the actors and Cutty is played by "Chad L Coleman". Are we sure they're not the same guy?

Aw, cut him some slack. His ridiculous stances are great especially when he continually doubles down on them, e.g. "ocean vs. space".
