I'll forever love Bill Walton for gifting his creationist co-commentator a copy of "The Origin of Species" on air.

I'm a big fan of Kremer and have been listening to "Who Charted" since the first episode (although I've taken some breaks after getting burnt out on it at times). If I didn't know his work I would cringe too - those videos aren't really a great introduction if you're not already on board. Search "have a summah ucb"…
Tolkien fans, do yourselves a favor and pick up the audio book of "Children of Hurin". Read by Christopher Lee - it is fucking amazing.
This hits a little too close to home for a Monday.
Ironically, Rush were some of the first nerds to rap terribly on "Roll the Bones".
Don't get me wrong, I love Power Windows too. When I was little my dad would play this VHS copy of "A Show of Hands" that he had for me. It still brings a smile to my face when I watch that concert on youtube; they look so happy/goofy! Did you catch the Clockwork Angels tour? You must have loved that first set!
So, you're a Power Windows fan Becca? I respect that. I have A Farewell to Kings, Hemispheres and Permanent Waves as the high point for Rush's career, personally.
Losing It has never been played! I think at this point the lyrics might hit a little too close to home. A couple deep cuts I'm rooting for on the R40 tour: Cinderella Man and Lessons.
Is it fair that any defense of Rust I read in Rust's voice?
To be honest, I, too, worship the mars volta. That said, I don't read into the lyrics at all - although I do think they fit will with the kind of space-freak-out vibe of the first few albums. They win the weirdness award hands-down for two reasons: 1) they are the weirdest and 2) they were meant to be taken…
"Twenty-five wives in the lake tonight, raw bark on the water of the marble shrine. Twenty-five snakes pour out your eyes, yeah the icepicks cummin' on the marble shrine."
Was able to see Owl John in LA a week ago and it was really cool. Scott basically apologized for not having an album out and then took Frightened Rabbit requests for two hours.
Hell yeah.
Antemasque is going to tour with Le Butcherettes, if that interests you at all.
Fuck. Yes. I'm so excited Omar and Cedric are making music together again. (I totally understand TMV isn't for everyone, but fuckin a it was for me in those early days.)
Favorite movie of all time.
Andy Daly!
I've been waiting for Tool's new album for years! ARG
Saw a screening of this at The National show in LA. It was great but I ended up missing a good bit due to parking issues/ desire for pre-show whiskeys. What's the best way to watch it?
Why is that guy always yelling?
