Mazda has said on multiple occasions that Mazdaspeed is not coming back. While Mazdaspeed may not return, I would not be surprised to see a performance-oriented Mazda under a different name.

Despite being relatively small and independent, it is remarkable what Mazda has been putting out in the last 10-15 years since Ford sold their stake in the company.
