I have driven the Taycan Turbo S and it is fantastic. I don’t care what the “purists” say about the name or the car. In fact, fine, let them stick to their “pure” Porsches. When I have enough money saved up, there will be more Taycans for me!

Design Team: our angular space truck is THE FUTURE!

I think they DID know about it. In the video he mentions the tips of the wheel covers are a softer material, presumably to mitigate the effects of contact with the wheel. The concept from 4-5 years ago had the same style wheel covers. What happened over 4 years that prevented them from solving this seemingly simple pro

In the video he mentions the tips of the covers are a softer material. To me it sounds like Tesla engineers knew contact with the tire was a problem, tried to address it with spacing and materials, still didn’t quite succeed and released the truck anyway.

Nice pun...I’m lovin’ it!

Those aero wheel covers were on the concept car in 2019. Avoiding contact with the sidewall is something I would expect a competent company to have figured out years ago. That truck only has “a couple thousand miles” on it.  What other shortcuts were made to rush this thing out the door?

“Dangerous old cars without airbags or ABS”

Newark is bad? Dang it, I just booked a flight into and out of EWR.

Predict - say or estimate that (a specified thing) will happen in the future or will be a consequence of something.

No doubt.  He is a true enthusiast AND he is incredibly annoying.

YES

The speed at which he speaks and his intense BUT ANYWAY pivots are frightening.

The British guy that always smiles. Plus his name is annoyingly close F-150, a vehicle almost totally opposite of his brand.

Most road trips for my family involve a stop at Buc-ee’s, which have several EV charging ports. Just getting all 4 of us through the bathroom there can be a 20 minute affair. I don’t own an EV but I gather that charging time will get us plenty of range.

There is a good piece in the Washington Post describing the excessive lengths to which Michael Mann filmed the racing scenes and rarely used digital stand-ins. They were definitely driving pretty fast, but maybe not quite as on-edge as real racers did back in the day.

Many hybrid systems have electric AC compressors, which still turn independent of the ICE.

Start-stop systems can be irritating on ICE cars.

Absolutely.  Road Presence is one thing that cannot be conveyed in pictures.

Pepperidge Farm does realize all of that. Pepperidge Farm is simply recalling a slice of the good ol’ days!

Pepperidge Farm remembers when the faster, more efficient, higher gear count manual gearbox was included in the price, and the slower, less efficient, more complicated and lower gear count automatic transmission was the $2k option.
