Correct. EV range is a big deal right now. If it were easy to increase range (meaning, little to no side effects), every manufacturer would be doing it right now. To think this dude by himself can outsmart the collective R&D brainpower of an entire industry is highly suspect.

OEMs limit the amount of usable battery capacity to extend the life of the battery, so it’s possible his software enables a larger % of battery utilization (to the detriment of battery longevity).

Yes, and that’s currently the only Toyota EV on sale (at least in the North American market). There are far more hybrid and PHEV options in their portfolio.

For many reasons I don’t know if I’d ever buy another Hyundai product, but I appreciate them going wild in the styling department. Some of their newer models - EVs in particular - are some of the most unique and distinctive designs on the road.

Wow...I struggle to think of anywhere else on earth where one could die so quickly and completely. One moment they were alive and just a few milliseconds later their bodies were basically deleted out of existence.  Chilling.

A JDM Accord SiR conversion would be awesome on this car!

No VTEC, no sale!

If you bolted the Porsche gearbox to the GT engine and shoehorned it into a Yaris, you’d be making a lot of metal puree.

With the louvered rear glass you wouldn’t be able to see your bike anyway.  Good choice on the Subie.

Extremely wealthy people who either really love fashion, or are super vain, or are bored or have simply run out of things to buy.

If there was ever a time for BMW, Acura, Nissan, Toyota and Dodge enthusiasts to settle their differences and band together, this slideshow is it.

You make a good point.

The ease by which heel-toe is executed varies widely depending on the orientation of the accelerator to the brake pedal and the shape of the footwell. If you can, imagine the plane where the accelerator and brake pedal are even with one another. That’s when heel-toe is easiest. On most “normal” cars with long brake
