I looked this up last night.  1 atm is roughly 14.7 psi. At the depth of the Titanic, the pressure is about 400 atmospheres. Crunch!

For a new owner to take on this rare and uber-low-mileage Lincoln there’s the small matter of the $59,900 asking price. That has recently been lowered from $65K and is a far cry from the $105K that was asked for the car in a previous attempt at a sale back in 2022.

MSRP for the MKVIII Collector’s Edition was $41k in 1998. Ignoring all other costs related to keeping and maintaining the car, just to keep up with inflation it would have to sell for $77k today to “break even”.

Interesting. Was the 5 GT seating position that much higher than the 7er that it made a difference?

Do I hear...SOS?  Nah, actually that sounds more like OSO.  Nothing to see here!

Sir Mix-a-Lot would like to make an exception

My in laws fit part of that model. They are always trading cars every 2 years and somehow convince themselves it’s always the best move. I think they, along with many other car buyers, are “unconscious incompetents” - when it comes to finances, they don’t know what they don’t know.

It’s no better from the rear, either!

Those RAV4 prices are bonkers.

Kia trolling everyone. Wow.

Newer Mazda engine covers have always been pretty easy to remove. The engine cover on my 2017 has 4 rubber mounting holes, and is a pull-off/press-on design with no fasteners to turn. Depending on why I’m removing the engine cover, I would prefer a pull-off design over the hinged version.

IMO it’s a better representation than 1 data point

Good. Data on Fuelly.com suggests that you are a statistical outlier.

I get the impression that most people buying those hi-po trucks are going in with full knowledge of the terrible fuel efficiency.

That’s all fine and well, IF you are doing mostly highway driving.

With the exception of maybe the Wrangler, anyone buying any of these cars won’t give a single shit about fuel costs.

I guess I don’t fully understand the purpose of the G56 class. In the realm of motorsport, there is nothing inherently innovative about a Cup car itself.
