It could be interesting to see what if Ford had dropped the Thunderbird and continued with the Elite instead?

I guess Ford taked a big gamble for this, the T-bird sales skyrocketed during that time. It was more lucky then the Torino morphed LTD II from what I read on Curbside classic. [www.curbsideclassic.com] Here a photoshopped image of a "Rancherbird", a 1977-79 Ranchero with a T-bird frontend made by a guy nicknamed

The 1955 Lincoln Futura escaped also this sad fate. Thanks to George Barris who turn it into the Batmobile.

1972, for 1973 they reverted back to BelAir, Impala and Caprice for the wagons. However Canadians got one more full-size wagon since the Biscayne continued to soldier until 1975.

The same guy did also this Fuego rendering.

Not bad but it could be better. One guy in Argentina did a modern rendering of the Argentinian Torino.

Very nice cover. :-) I could also mention the cover done by Michael Bolton around 1992.

Hard to chose, it's a tie between the Trans-Am and the Mustang but then you could also be tempted to be in another league with a Buick Grand National ;-) Someone scanned a old article from Car & Driver July 1985 issue about the Grand National, Monte Carlo SS and Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 at

Let's go a bit futher to install a speed bump similar to the one featured in this German ad. ;-)

Besides Michel Vaillant, do you remember or heard of others Franco-Belgian comic books like Ric Hochet, Alain Chevalier, Gil Jourdan and Les Casseurs (later rechristened as "Al & Brock")? In the case of "Les Casseurs", they didn't drived fast, their specialty was crashing cars, trucks, buses and even sometimes a boat

It won't be long I guess, then someone will photoshop a 3-series wagon by adding some woodgrain, lol. ;-)

In the same category, there also the Honda Today driven by Miyuki in the anime You're Under Arrest.

It might be not fast but that car got a very cute driver: Rally Vincent and her 1967 Shelby Mustang GT-500 from Gunsmith Cats

Comment of the day! :-)
