Time to remember the Good old days with some vintage ads.

Crack Pipe, I spotted via CarScoop a more interesting "sleeper" item

It's so tempting to update the jingle played in the old Kenner "Smash-up derby" tv ad. It would be perfect for these clips. ;-)

@Isetta: +1 but I also wish to see ...a Taurus wagon, even reviving the Country Squire moniker. Picture from [www.egmcartech.com]

@SlowMo: How about a "microvan" or "mini-minivan" like the former Dodge/Eagle Colt-Vista/ Mitsubishi Expo?

@littlephiish: should we mention also the Aerostar? ;-)

@WheezyWindsor302: I'm not sure but I heard Chrysler had once a test track on the top of a building in Buenos Aires when they had their Argentine operations until the late 1970s.

@stephdumas: From Brazil, the Chevrolet Opala, another nice coke-bottle 1960s sedan and coupe

We could also list some cars offered in other countries who wasn't sold here. Like this 1986 Argentine Ford Falcon. The basic early 1960s body soldieried until 1991 with some updates like remodeled dash and squared headlights.

We can also mention the 1957 Pontiac who used the Chevy body and dropped at the request of Bunkie Knudsen, the "Silver streak". [www.oldcarmanualproject.com]

@250GTO: +1 although the proposed "Lincard" (or "Linckard"?) or "Packloln" as I mentionned at [jalopnik.com] wasn't bad either.

@tonyola: Speaking of Morris, the Minor continued to soldier until 1971 in the UK while the Oxford continued (and still do) its career in India as the Hindustan Ambassador.

More 1957 trivia: It was the last year for Nash and Hudson when AMC decided to gamble its future with Rambler. Also the 1st year of the "Packarbaker", Packard as a rebodied Studebaker. Packard had negociated with Ford to use the Lincoln bodies but no luck. Here a "what might have been". Pic from [www.1956packardpanther

I wish we could save all of them.

@tonyola: Too bad then the XJ-100 was destroyed in a road accident. :-( We could wonder what if Jeep had given the green light to them?
