@S_Mazza: Good question, however on the other hand, WWI could had beginned differently. I spotted this "alternate history" novel titled "1901" on Amazon.com [www.amazon.com] who could give us a different perspective, also check this interesting list of "what ifs" in alternate history.

It won't be long before some might have fun to convert the CR-Z to RWD and put a LS engine like some folks did with the S2000 [jalopnik.com]

@TrampaOnline: I don't know, when we saw actors like Sean Penn defending Chavez and saying if someone said a bad word about Chavez should go in *censored* while he can critize Bush, it's time to ponder if there double-standards?

@DasHoon: Would had been interesting if the old RWD Cressida was still made. Imagine a "Cressimino".

@C4_4life: You might be on to something, I guess Honda might just update a older design. Then on the other hand, they might give us the Crosstour front end.

Not too ridiculous in some occasions for the Black Beauty in the Green Hornet.

Here a slightly off-topic note, 10 years ago, it was Oldsmobile.... 50 years ago on November 30 1960, the last DeSoto (I don't count the models sold in overseas markets) left the assembly line. [www.allpar.com]

@Awjvail: I could be a bit earlier when Olds sprayed the Cutlass moniker everywhere; Cutlass Ciera, Cutlass Surpreme, the 1985 Calais became the Cutlass Calais in 1988. Then the Cutlass moniker was used for a badged version of the 1997 Chevy Malibu.

@Novaload: I posted some scans who showed the clay models of what Buick and Chevrolet originally planned for '59 [jalopnik.com] Thank goodness they didn't go that way.

@Spasticteapot: And fast forward to today, it's Hyundai and Kia who give the same medecine to Honda and Toyota ;-)

@stephdumas: page 2 showing the other proposals.

@stephdumas: Here a scan from the June 2006 issue of Collectible Automobile about the proposed 59 GM, Buick and Chevrolet.

At least these 1959 models are more nice to what Harley Earl originally planned to be a reharsh of the 1958 model with more chrome. Fortunately, some GM designed got their glimpse of Chrysler's Forward look of 1957 and saw their original '59 would had been already outdated and they worked on all-new '59 designs.
