I'm pretty sure it was Designed to Sell, it was awhile ago. Also, all of the guests at the "Open House" were definitely other family members.

HGTV did renovations on a family member's house. They installed a wine rack - above the stove(!) and took out the ceiling fan in a room w/ no central ventilation to install some 'fashionable' light fixture. The fact that it's fake aside, the people they hire have no idea what they're doing.
