LOL I am not in the meme-making business, but it would be a good one. This is Feminista Jones' phrase (@FeministaJones on Twitter), I believe! She's the first person I read using it. I just searched on Twitter and I think she's the originator. :)

I use it to control the growth of giant cysts in my ovaries, that should they rupture could make me sterile. B control is making it so in like 5 years when I WANT a kid, I will be able to.
There's a strongly held belief that allowing women to have sex just as freely as men will destroy society as we know it. Kinda makes sense if you ignore the banks and politicians that are destroying society.
Because when women control their reproductive systems, they control their lives. And that is what scares male the most. Now, some women will go along with those men to be considered one of the "cool" ones, but that is what is boils down to ultimately. That's what the abortion debate, birth control debate, and all this…
Yeah. "entertaining". Jeez.
Yeah. I keep having to remind myself what decade this is . . .
Yeah it makes absolutely no difference where you work. A precedent like this effects us all. It's hard to argue that it's going to go this far and then not spread.
From what I know about Jesus, and I've never met him personally, he probably would have a live and let live policy re. BC.
I feel your pain, friend. That's what's so maddening and frustrating about this whole thing. We're "hysterical" or "shrill" because we're upset about something that HURTS US, while disaffected men sit around and are actually the ones that make the policy.
They cover Viagra and penis pumps. I think that's why this is a pay cut.
They do realize, and they don't care because open misogyny is (one of) their raisons d'etre.
A whole heck of a lot closer than tubal ligations. Tubal ligations/essure are PERMANENT. IUDs and vasectomies are not. And I'm speaking specifically about non-hormonal birth control - so I'm even excluding Mirena.
Because sex is only for baby making! If you're not trying to make a baby, you're not supposed to be doing it. Unless you're poor and require government assistance. Then, you should not be doing it at all because good, Christian Republicans shouldn't have to pay for your baby, and you can't use birth control…
Because men need women pregnant and out of the workforce in order to gain further control and power over them.
She seems reasonable to me. I have totally went off on people for loosing shit before. Granted it was my car, but I've heard little kids cry. Those dudes are lucky she didn't bring a gun.
Because it apparently makes the Baby Jesus cry.
The point is that there is no male equivalent to IUDs. The Supreme Court has singled out a form of health care that disproportionately (read: only) affects women.
Also, aren't tubal ligations like MAJOR surgery? Vasectomies are significantly less invasive.
You mean like how Hobby Lobby covers vasectomies but not IUDs? Kindof like that? Long-term, semi-permanant birth control? It's a pay cut.
All I hear is "I'm OK with my employer paying me less because I have a uterus." I've been "harping" on this for three days now - refusing to cover birth control or certain forms of birth control is a SCOTUS-sanctioned PAY CUT for women, and ONLY women. How the fuck is no one seeing how fucking discriminatory this is?
