Devs want players to use the game as they normally would. Unless they specifically ask for certain tests (everyone queue for a certain map or mode), players should do whatever they would normally do in the game. If the developers have the right tools set up they can monitor and gather data on what is going on.
Think of it more like Diablo/Action RPGs.

They eventually released a patch that was meant to improve the controls (and possible drop 6axis), but I never played it.

I would be careful with Season 2 (done by different VFX house). Seasons 1 and 3 were done by the same company (CBS digital or something). They are also helping supervise parts of the Season 4 set so that there is more consistency between the releases.
