I am a little late to this conversation but here’s my reason for preferring a desktop reader: I am old, my vision is getting worse, and it’s very hard to read a story on my phone. And if I have to get a tablet that’s as large as my laptop, well - I might as well keep the laptop. Which I did. I have a small Kindle Fire

This is an EXCELLENT plan of action! My county is currently non-represented due to a gerrymandering dispute in the courts (I live in NC), and as soon as we know exactly WHO our representative is, I plan on doing this.

The glitter would stay in their mail room; since all the anthrax scares no mail goes up uninspected. Pity the poor government worker who keeps getting glitterized time after time... but it was a cool idea. It made me laugh to visualize!

My parents live with my husband and me now, with a “B” appended to our street address so they have their own mailing address. If I call (on my cell, because they do not own one) someone who is not my representative, I use her name and address because she and my father are rabid Republicans, and contribute a lot of the

And having bragging rights about being the most popular candidate in US history! And the best! And the most handsome!

Maybe I’m too picky, but I don’t like the brown film that develops in cups which aren’t washed. I wash mine at the end of the day, since I know I won’t be drinking any more coffee (or tea) till the next morning.

Is there some way to see the Cook’s Illustrated results without having to sign up for a ‘free trial period’ and giving them a credit card number? If not, then I don’t understand why you would link to something I will not be able to read.

At least it wasn’t Trump Univer...er, Scion University.

Fact is, The Clinton Foundation has been checked nine ways from Sunday, as well as all the so-called ‘pay to play’ allegations. The foundation has the highest marks from a charitable rating source, and there were no instances of ‘pay-to-play.’ AFAIK, the only thing which is a bit off-putting to me personally is the

I agree; I much prefer reading the first message in a thread, not the latest! This is one of the things which drives me crazy about social media. At least I can have my email in the right order: oldest to newest. When I read it, if it needs keeping it goes in a folder.
