My dad started me on classic Hollywood films and I love being able to share these stories with him. I loved Karina’s thoughtful measured responses to your questions. She’s not looking to sensationalize, distort, or create soundbytes; she’s a real scholar. So refreshing today.

You didn’t mention how it’s probably 1000 calories. Sorry I’m in healthcare.

I live in Los Angeles and I love it! Great weather.

I’m confused because Cardi whines about losing too much weight one week and then started selling weight loss teas the next. Ah money trumps integrity every time.

If I were a celebrity, I’d be like Beyoncé and not tweet anything that can’t be expressed in a photo and not give interviews. Any actress who does these interviews with a sociopolitical slant really has to research and rehearse her talking points and then run them by several people. It’s hard to speak extemporaneously

Bella was the Pembrooke Corgi. haha I was so invested in her that I learned her name.

I was rooting for Bella because she was the only girl in the finals—I think.

How interesting that Ashlee Simpson got together with two black or biracial men and had children with them.

Tangential: This is not a comment at you, but rather a mini rant on how Jamaican became Afro-Jamaican. Can black people not have Jamaica?? In freaking Africa, white people get to be called South African (most consistently) instead of Dutch-South African or Afrikaners to distinguish them by race. What are white

This reminds me of the Beyoncé album—was it 2013? She reminded people that she was black and racist white people fell off the bandwagon or out of the beehive.

It’s interesting to contrast this with the modern example of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. People also accused her of being a gold digger but she has been largely supported by women. Robin Givens got the shit end of the stick because misogyny and misogynoir was acceptable. I mean, Mike Tyson didn’t marry her because

They came out against gay men having families. They called Selena Gomez “ugly” or “unattractive”. I don’t understand why anyone fucks with them at this point.

I honestly don’t get why this was a big deal. She said she was going to post past pictures of herself around her house as motivation not to eat too much. Okay? What’s the controversy? She didn’t say everyone should do it. She didn’t say everyone needs to look like me. It’s weird that most of the outrage comes from

She should get the money if that’s what her contract stipulates. I don’t like her and I never will, but the world is not fair. Shitty and mediocre people are rewarded daily because they have the right connections, skin color, background, looks, finances...My hope is that people will stop giving people chances that

She must also show restraint or good judgment.

I agree with this. People have to be able to come back from mistakes unless it involves violent crimes. And even then some people have turned their lives around.

They look like slightly different clones of each other. I’m SOOOOO happy I don’t have to run in that “hot girl” race. I don’t understand why some people think looking beautiful is looking like a clone of someone else considered beautiful. Create your own best version of yourself.  Don’t just copy! This is annoying me.

This makes sense to me as well. Some celebs do bypass their publicists now and just release their statements to their followers. I think he did confirm the death through the publicist intially but perhaps wanted to release a more intimate statement using video.

Obituaries are conservative in tone and their existence probably was to share information with interested parties, not to celebrate the dead. Also someone beat you to the punch with this comment.

People need to take down the outrage a bit. All I’m asking is if a celebrity posting elaborate social media dedications to their loved one makes grief performative, which is a valid thought.
