It’s hard to compare 2004 ratings to 2016/17. The TV landscape has changed pretty drastically with so much more content and channels. Plus we tend to gravitate towards train wrecks when it comes to reality TV shows and god knows The Donald was nothing if not a train wreck.

That’s what I’m consoling myself with. I did vote in this election and followed coverage pretty closely, but I have to admit I was on autopilot with regards to it previously. It’s definitely been a wake-up call for activism.
