I feel that way about my conservative family members as well. I have a pre-existing condition. I’m currently covered under my employer, but god help me if I lose my job. I am uninsurable once the ACA is repealed.
They cannot keep the pre-existing coverage without the individual mandate. Otherwise the risk pool is too much of a burden and premiums will skyrocket.
So many idiots are so short-sighted and ignorant (beyond Congress). I saw a comment on FB (ugh!) where the person said people should just get jobs with insurance coverage. As if it were that easy.
