It is very, VERY misleading to act like the auto industry “did nothing” about emissions. The difference in vehicle emissions from 1979 to 1989 is astonishing, and the amount of money and time that was spent on R&D was incredible. Only someone ignorant would claim they “did nothing”.

Norwegian chiming in.

They needed a donor heart.

The Russians had 15 years to watch our painstakingly planned precision airstrikes achieve great quantitative success in avoiding civilian casualties but for little strategic or propaganda value, all at an obscene monetary cost. If just one civilian dies in a US airstrike the condemnation is just as bad as if 10 were

This is why I’m hopeful that technology will allow enough of the outside world in that the serfs (that’s what they are, really) in north korea rise up in a genuine popular movement that drives Kim from power.

Because it’s so much worse than when an ICE car’s gas tank explodes. I swear, it’s a running theme every time there’s a Tesla post: someone makes a vague, underhanded your-uncle-on-Facebook kind of comment that somehow batteries make these cars more “dangerous” in some way. Come on: “cut loose?” You make lithium-ion

When asked for comment, the owner said, “Yes, I prefer the taste of burnt Tesla over lutefisk.”

You have no idea what you are talking about and as such wasted whatever time you spent typing out your ‘War and Peace’. Your ignorance of Vietnam is particularly disturbing, so I will try to educate you a little.

Assad > ISIS, I mean for real. Bush opened Pandoras box and now 13 years later it’s basically Road Warrior out there. Putin and Russia have every right to keep their Naval port just as in Ukraine. Why are we so hell bent on pushing everyone around to what end? To prop up Saudi Kings and Princes?

after three days on holiday in North Korea, and visiting the museum to great war, the museum to the glory of the army, the monument to the blah blah blah and three days of non stop propaganda of the most childish quality, i finally flipped and started ranting at our tour guide.”i am really depressed for NK, the

The Russians are always making copies, the TU-4 copied the B29, the Russian copy of the B1, of the Space Shuttle. Now they see an American naval missile fail and say: “we can do that too”

In a battle between the Russian and US navies, the first fleet to fire its missles loses the battle. That’s an interesting new wrinkle in naval war tactics.

Agreed - the contrived profit on WD is mostly indefensible. The only defense (or defence since it’s a Brit show) I might imagine is that they’re asking you to suspend disbelief and consider it to be a hobbyist venture for these guys, where labor cost is an afterthought.

I wanna start the American counterpoint by founding a club where members take old Volvos, DAFs and Saabs and equip them w rally accessories and giant Swedish flags hanging out the back, and cruise up and down the boulevard cranking Abba and Roxette.
