I had a friend who worked for one of those companies, so I can tell you that you are correct. He said that so many trailers are the same (using the same sound effects and musical cues) because it’s the same people making them and, for the most part, they don’t care that much. So, that’s why every trailer goes “BWAAAA.”

I watched Six Feet Under as it aired, until the That’s My Dog episode. I think I maybe made it two or three more episodes after that, but I found it so disturbing that I just couldn’t anymore. I think I had also, by that point, had my fill of these characters. I sometimes think about going back and finally watching

My girlfriend and I recently started watching the Sopranos. She’s never seen it and I haven’t seen these episodes since they aired, so like 22 years ago.

They’re course, and ruff, and irritating. And they get everywhere!

When I heard that Marilyn Manson and Louis CK were nominated for Grammy my first reaction was, “Really?” and my second reaction was, “These guys are still working? Could have fooled me!” Like, I have no idea what either of them could even be nominated for.

I thought it was because he and his father had just reconciled after many years and he didn’t want to potentially sabotage their relationship

I was willing to forgive a lot of the fan service in Ghostbusters: Afterlife because of the Reitman connection. Yes, I know there are people who disliked the idea of the father giving the franchise to his son, but at least Ghostbusters has been a factor in most of his life. When he pays tribute to Harold Ramis, he

A few decent Update zingers are fine, but a mounting a concerted affront to the heavily armed and seditious powers that are setting themselves up (through thuggish violence and widespread voting fuckery) would go a long way toward earning the outlaw rebel comedy image Saturday Night Live has always cultivated for

I just watched this. The movie’s thesis is that world is a horrible, decaying place, full of corruption and hypocrisy, which has only gotten worse thanks to COVID.

Me either, but I appreciate that it exists, if that makes sense. So I have a feeling I will feel the same about this one.

Laurence Fishburne is only 7 years older than Will Smith

She was definitely the bigger star of the two of them at the time, coming right off of Bring It On. Maguire was mostly an indie actor at the time who had a couple of mild hits, but nothing huge. He definitely should have been paid more since he’s the star of the film, but it sounds like they didn’t give her what she

A cool poster is nice to have, but I’m more interested in if the movie is actually good

Yeah. The thing I remember the most about Lethal Weapon 3 is the funeral scene after Murtaugh’s son’s friend is killed where they played It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday, which is so on the nose but somehow worked.

Lethal Weapon 1 and 2 are good. Lethal Weapon 3 was watchable but man were the seams starting to show.

This is his fourth movie this year, with In the Heights, Tick... Tick... Boom, and Vivo. Saying he’s overexposed at this point is an understatement.

There’s a lot that’s really bad about Many Saints of Newark, but the biggest problem is that this was a script Chase wrote years earlier about the Newark Riots, which he retrofitted to be a Sopranos movie so he could get it made. Those seams are highly visible. Leslie Odom’s character is completely pointless and

I had trouble understanding him. He was slurring his words, it sounded like. And that’s weird because I’ve never had that problem in any TV show or movie he’s in. Maybe he was just nervous.

Best part of the episode was the little girl who played Coraline celebrating after the sketch.
