As far as I remember it, Shin Gojira got its Resurgence-title first and that Independence Day was also called Resurgence was unvailed shortly after that. (I remember it because I made a joke at the time about the (God)Zilla-director stealing the Gojira-title.)

Well, it's running in Germany right now (yes, 5 month after the US) and it doesn't get good ratings at all. I don't expect a new season.
