You’d be wrong. It takes long, they throw back your paper work for bs reasons and there is so much red tape.

There’s not really any good way for those here illegally to get legal. They’d have to return to their origin country and wait (and there’s no guaranty they’d ever be allowed back), which is a pretty big burden for someone who has lived in the US since childhood.
