I sort of read that statement to mean that it’s somewhat racist to assume that black academy members will automatically vote for black actors, and that any solution to the dearth of black nominees that consists of simply adding more black academy members would thus be relying on that same sorta-kinda racist assumption…

By saying that it would be acceptable to ask him to withdraw the nominee, he’s suggesting that it’s a fluid option and rule, not that it’s firmly placed in the constitution that gives the presidency its power.

What was the point of posting that link? The substance of that article is the statement already produced in full here. Nowhere in that article does it say the independent investigator determined he had not committed rape.

I hate to say it, but the solution is - buy better bath towels. Seriously, go to like a JC Penney’s, or Kohls, or whatever (NOT Wal-mart FFS), find their bath towels, and find the good, big, fluffy ones. They’re worth the extra $, and don’t feel like (and are way bigger than) crap hotel towels.
