Who said that? I didn't say that. If I'd say that, I would have been wrong.

Delighted to see Joe Versus the Volcano on here! One of my very favourite Hanks films.
Not necessarily just smooth, though. There's something bizarre about Cary Grant in that he's also just, kinda awkward? In his speech, his walk, some of his mannerisms.
Plus there's that amazing scene where's he's drunk at Cary Grant's place. And Stewart improvised those hiccups! I love that scene because you can see both of them trying (and just barely managing) to keep it together.
Oh, me too. Have you seen Judgement at Nuremberg? If nothing else, there's a couple of mind-blowing/heart-breaking performances from Montgomery Clift and Judy Garland who were both going through various struggles with addiction by the '60s.
One of the only films where I actually buy him as flirty and charming rather than just a bit awkward.
Or It's a Wonderful Life, for that matter. Older Stewart in Rear Window or Anatomy of a Murder is a powerhouse, but there's something about the utter joy he expresses at the end of It's a Wonderful Life that stuns me every time I see it.
I for one welcome our new patrician overlor- wait a minute.
It had everything I like - gratuitous violence.
