I suspect that the wall-to-wall licensed music is the reason why SSX Tricky has never been added to a digital storefront, and why it’ll probably never get a remaster. But considering that we’ve seen stuff like the GTA trilogy and THPS 1+2 get remasters with a respectable amount of their original soundtracks intact,

The Venn diagram of dudes who say “keep that gay stuff out of my games/movies/TV shows/etc” and the dudes who love nothing more than to watch two chicks make out (or more) is the most perfect circle the world has ever seen.

If you’ve ever played games with romance options, features characters in relationships, or presents characters in a sexualized way, congrats, you’ve played a game that addresses gender and sexuality.”

As someone who was around to experience both FFVII and FVIII at launch — and was among the group that thought FFVII was one of the best games I’d ever played up to that point — I didn’t get the FVIII hate at all. Did I think it was slightly inferior to VII? Sure. But I still thought it was an incredible game.

It’s weird -- I was super excited to play this, and I now have access to it through both Game Pass and PS+. But I’ve yet to bother. Why does that happen sometimes?

Yeah, it didn’t feel dramatically satisfying. It just felt like cheap shock value. It would’ve been a lot more impactful if it didn’t HAVE to come down to one of you killing the other. That’s the part that ruined whatever potential the twist had to be well-executed. But as far as I researched, there’s no way for them

I played this with my kid. Yeah, whatever, most of us let our kids play violent video games. My parents let me play Mortal Kombat when I was 10 lol. It was a really cool experience playing it with him. He’s typically all about his Minecrafts and his Robloxes, so to get him to play a quote “real” game with me was

In my old age, I tend to favor accessibility over having more of the screen. For instance, I would never turn off those added button commands shown in the third picture.

I remember games like Gears of War doing that back in the 360 era, doing 60fps during gameplay and 30fps for cutscenes. I don’t know why that can’t be a toggle-able option.

If Microsoft makes it so I can share my game progress between the same “Game Pass” game no matter what platform it’s on via cross-platform cloud saves, sign me the hell up. I’ll pay for a separate Game Pass subscription for every platform I own for that functionality.

I don’t think they even remember that they own that IP.

Here’s what pisses me off about Ubisoft — they’ll pour countless tens (maybe even hundreds) of millions of dollars into dead-end projects like this and BG&E 2 that either never get released, or can’t possibly live up to the hype and flop when they finally do, but they won’t blame those things on their financial woes.

Speaking only for myself here — and full disclosure, as someone who owns all three of the current-gen systems (if you count Switch) — I don’t have a huge problem with Microsoft-published/owned games going to PS5 as long as they are still “free” on Game Pass on Xbox. That to me will make me feel like I didn’t waste my

It’s annoying because those things used to be separate. Look at GTAV — you have an entire solo campaign that you can fully enjoy and is a full-priced experience, and then there’s GTA Online (which is a separate thing now but used to be part of GTAV). Each is their own thing, and is a full experience for those that

Is Rouge going to push the franchise into PG-13 territory for the first time?

I guarantee that there is an entire generation that knows him best as Chubbs. And almost no headlines about his passing mention it -- it’s always buried in the article somewhere.

Admittedly I skimmed this because I want to experience this for myself as fresh as possible, but yeah — my eyes were drawn to the “Your art’s fucking weird!” part and I don’t find it remotely hard to believe that some asshole teenager would say that to someone. Kids aren’t always — in fact, they seldom are — eloquent

In North America, the Xbox 360 outsold the PlayStation 3 by about 8 million units. We can debate opinions about consoles and console manufacturers all day long, but sales figures are the only objective data there is. And in that regard, PS3 was the clear-cut third place seventh generation console in the U.S. Being

Haha me too! And sometimes Radiata Stories gets thrown in that jumble for me as well.

This. Those of us who weren’t feeling the direction of FF after FFX, it felt like Lost Odyssey was made specifically for us. Like one last hurrah from the old crew.
