It gets better. There’s actually a Half-Life “patch” called Half-Life Uplink addon v1.3 by HL and Vampires: The Masquerade Bloodlines modder Wesp55, which integrates the Uplink section into its rightful place - Teleport #7 in the Lambda Core.
