It’s a real Good Wife situation.

There’s something magical about how Tala Ashe has been able to create two distinct characters that I genuinely miss Zari 1.0 and get excited whenever she reappears. Not sure if I could say the same thing for Laurel or Amaya. 

I heard the actress for Zari 1.0 doesn’t get along with the actress for Nu-Zari. 

This episode is stylish as hell. (So are the costumes!)

A fun episode. Jes Macallan as Ava is so much the heart of the show now & is totally up to it. She is welcoming Spooner onto the team that she once was so hostile to.

If we’re talking influences, the plot (at least for the first two thirds) feels a lot like the Teen Titans episode Employee of the Month, which was also about a fast food restaurant becoming a craze for a menu item that turns out to be an alien product.

Also, Behrad’s ding ding eyebrow raise was a wonderful bit

Now I’m disappointed we didn’t get to see adult Alex Do a Murder for bringing Young Kara to the future, although skipping an hour or two makes way more sense.

The only reason Supergirl debuted when it did this season was because they had to shut down production of Superman and Lois due to a covid outbreak on set.

Wait wait, after next week Supergirl is breaking until FREAKING AUGSUST?!  Why do networks keep doing this?  Stop breaking up seasons with months long gaps ffs!  Why even start a new season if you plan on taking a 3 month break in the middle?  They did this a couple seasons ago with Legends of Tomorrow, and I hated it…

Izabela Vidovic plays young Kara, and Olivia Nikkanen is young Alex.

I had to laugh at Mick being the responsible adult in the beginning, having been on the Waverider as long as Sara, and Ava’s checklist of letting everybody do their own thing (Constantine using magic, Mick drinking, Behrad getting high) because that somehow gets results, and it asking what’s Astra’s deal.

Before the “Sara never liked to be alone” was the great and dismissive “swing a dead cat”

I loved that they referenced the DEO and Alex Danvers. The phone ringing under the DEO ruins made me laugh.

I loved that but also feel that it was cruel they got my hopes up for a teamup between the Legends & Alex Danvers, one of my absolute favorite ArrowVerse characters
