My dumbass brain when Zari 1.0 showed up: “Oh, it’s nice that the actress came back for such a short scene!” Don’t worry, I had the same problem with Orphan Black.

Best episode in ages, and mercifully free of the jankiness that has (completely understandably, thanks to covid/pregnancy) plagued this season.
So intrepid reporter “Jamillah Olsen” is definitely gonna have something to do with Crisis, right?
This wasn’t a great finale, but I’d still put it above the last two or even three (season one only really loses points for such a lackluster villain). I really enjoyed this season—it might be my favorite—but it still pulled the classic Supergirl thing of picking up way more plotlines than it ever had any chance of…
As soon as they showed everyone walking back into the house, I knew they were gonna end with Macy closing the door with her powers, and I am absolutely here for it.
Hopes for next year:
I’d probably put 5 ahead of 4, since I liked Nora and Ralph was far less annoying this year.
Frost’s line was particularly delightful considering how many Hallmark movies Panabaker’s been in.
I’m surprised they were able to wrestle the Times Square billboards away from the Wynonna Earp fans!
They made Brainy such a goober this season (aw, he’s got a crush and can’t handle it!) that it was really easy to forget that his name is short for Brainiac. I particularly loved that he repeated Lena’s “little boxes” advice right before snapping—we’ve been so worried about Lena going bad that we didn’t keep an eye on…
*Galvin and Macy look up to see a massive thunderstorm.*
Dunno if you saw the trailer for next week’s episode, but it’s literally Clarke saying “We come in peace!” juxtaposed against Our Heroes going straight to murder town. Props to the promo department on that one.
I’m kinda disappointed we finally had a scenario where Mick’s gun would actually be appropriate, and they instead came up with a reason why he shouldn’t use it. Boo!
I preferred Niko but I liked Jada and thought she was written out too quickly. Though really I have that same complaint about the Sarcana in general--we never really got to know any of them other than Jada.
She plays better opposite Chyler Leigh than she did Mehcad Brooks
Yeah, this was wild episode. First we had a literal recap at the beginning—with pictures!—then Macy’s breakneck trip to the dark side and back within, like, 20 minutes, so that the episode still had time to go and kill off all of the sages. I actually liked the reboot’s take on the Elders so I’m a little bummed they…
I thought so too, but Deadline confirms it.
Was kinda surprised to see Simone’s name used to prominently, but then they pulled Rag Doll’s infiltration scene pretty much directly from Villains United.
I genuinely could not remember what everyone was mad at Clarke for this time around. Had to pause and read summaries on the wiki.
I’m hoping they pump the brakes on the relationship stuff for a bit. I don’t really have anything against Nate and Zari and I genuinely like Sara and Ava, but this episode kinda hit my limit on characters sitting around discussing other characters relationships. On the other hand, Nate and Zari actually got to use…
