I got pulled over for a burned out taillight, smoked weed earlier in the car and got busted. No driving issues, just shitty taillights. Driving under the influence of marijuana is so much different than driving drunk and I hope they realize that. Which they won't. Almost, America, almost.

I'm hopeful that this device will be used by a business if they think someone is high on the job, vs having them piss test. smoking weed 3 weeks ago is not the same as smoking 3 hours ago.

This 100%. I never drive under the influence of anything, but I am a pretty avid user of the sweet sweet ganja, and I fear that even though I always drive sober, if I get pulled over and have to take that weed Breathalyzer, I'd fail very hard.

Has there been a scientific study performed to determine if driving stoned really affects your ability to drive safely? And where the cutoff is? With legal drugs there will have to be a legal limit and ways of determining that limit. A zero-tolernace policy isn't really practical when THC can linger in your system…
