@Riggs Rector: I've been writing the 3DS off as a gimmick since it's reveal pre-E3.

If I end up getting one, I'll never use the 3D effect, I wonder how this will affect performance. I'd imagine it will at least extend battery life...

@Riggs Rector: okay, its a new DS with gimmick display (3D) and gimmick controls (waggle), that might catch up with the PSP graphic capability, or hell, even phones graphic capability.

@sanctusmortis: Madden is a franchise that has been going on for decades now. Tecmo bowl before that. 2K sports and MLB the Show and many other sports titles are considered AAA titles as well as console sellers (especially Madden).

I'm wondering the same thing about the 3DS. Depending on how it works, will it work with visually impaired and-or colorblind people?

@Dr Durdon: that's about right where I'm sitting. I'm kind of hoping they end up doing something like they did with the wii (trade in console + extra controller set and get the new black wii bundle for $50).
