I can testify to the undersides of old(ish) Renaults being horrible!

Sorry - should have been more accurate. Certain cars of this period did have fuel pumps, some used this method, others just had the fuel tank up high in the front of the car and relied on gravity.
Let me know when you are going to come to the UK. My dad is a director of the VSCC and I am one of their Clerk of the Course so I am sure we can hook you up with some tickets and a tour round one of the events.
No - not superbike tyres. Cars in VSCC races are not allowed to run on bike tyres (3-wheeled Morgans get away with this a small amount) for safety reasons. Modern bike tyres give too much grip and don’t slide in a nice, predictable way.
Spot on.
Fuel pump!
The gearbox here is a seven-speed automatic
TVR = Towing Vehicle Required
I so hope that my one of these is still in parents house somewhere. I can’t believe I would ever have thrown it away but I haven’t seen it in a long time.
OK. Where to start...
So Google in the UK has a very similar list...
Yeah. It was very lucky! Dad was talking to the guy who had been restoring it and managed to get us both a ride.
Unfortunately I think that a ‘Q’ plate cannot be changed so if you get one of those then you’re stuffed!
Unfortunately there isn’t. And one of his friends used to be part of a trio that imported the cars to the UK so I did get a close look at one a fair few years ago.
They used to be OK. Quite recently they started becoming very unpleasant about this kind of stuff - especially with regards to new cars being registered as old ones. Taking away period registrations and giving cars ‘Q’ plates has been happening.
They can - but they need to be registered as the year that they were manufactured not the year the recreate. So it needs to pass the 2015 IVA standard which they won’t be able to.
That made me chuckle.
Sorry but these are not truly 100% accurate replicas of the T35B. They are very good in the majority of details - especially when it comes to the looks - but they are mechanically quite different.
The E-Type isn’t vintage. Vintage is anything made pre-1931 (http://www.vscc.co.uk/page/questions…
Now that was a great car review.
