@Delta Sierra: I like the Ricky Gervais model with the UK version of "The Office" and "Extras" where there's a specific time frame and story/character arc for the series. I don't know too many American network shows that do that. "Lost" did it. Usually they just try to think of ways to squeeze every last bit of

@PrettyB is like Whoa: I agree and am not aware that they ever actively said they didn't want to be photographed. But, if you watch the documentary on her, "Blood Ties," you see how coercive she is and how set up most of the shots are. It's very clear that the girls, at least, really, really want to please her even

It's in a bottle?! Who has time for that? There should be a hose that just shoots it into your open mouth.

Not only was she too young to consent, SHE ACTUALLY DIDN'T CONSENT. It's heartbreaking.

Hate to say it, but they should just end "The Office" when Steve Carrell leaves. Don't run a good thing into the ground, people.

@Lorin: That's what my grandmother always told me.

My first job out of college was working at Macy's Herald Square at Christmas time. I was hired to work in the administrative office that processed the new hires for the season (3,000 in all). This is the realm that David Sedaris wrote about in "SantaLand Diaries," but I was processing the elves' paperwork and taking

Ok, this just reminds me of a scene from a certain episode of Friends. Watching it reminds me of how crappy network sitcoms are. And it offers no solutions. But here it is!

@withoutabaedeker: Ditto on the galic. I like lime instead of lemon. And chili powder or chilies and cilantro.

Secret 573, encoded in this actual Secret Deodorant commercial: We sweat pink lady fluids from our palms.

That is some potent pachydermical adorability.

Hey, now, kitties can throw down:

I went to this Food Show a few years ago with a friend who had passes from his sister, who had a booth there. It was amazing and everyone there is in the industry and assumes you are as well, so it was free samples left and right. We went for "lunch" and I wound up having a lot of chocolate, some jelly beans,

@maude_flanders: So true. It took me years to figure out I shouldn't comment on other people's bodies. Probably because I was so ashamed of my own. It's just odd to attach virtue to someone's physicality.

My weight has been up and down my whole life. At different times I've lost 95 lbs, 60 lbs, and recently 200 lbs - obvs with gaining in between. I'm on the upswing from losing 200. I've gained about half back.

Gasp, swoon!

@maharani: reheat it and it'll liquefy again.

@rah29: I love them, too. And MOF is my fave. Even though I wasn't in a break-up mindset when it came out, I listened to it over and over. So, I don't think it's just because it mirrored your life. There's real joy it it, as well. I didn't connect with their latest album as much.
