When you say “the key to Evernote is to commit to it and jump in with both feet” in order to like it, you give the exact reason why so many people don’t get into evernote that much: it’s too complex. I mean, we had Evernote people coming to train our employees on how to use it... if you need to train your users, you…
Or... you can switch to memosnag that is 100% free. Yes it doesn’t have all the fancy features of evernote, but it lets you take notes, photos, save stuff online (I love the Chrome plugin and the Android app), create folders, share folders... pretty much what 90% of what people do with evernote.
I use memosnag. It’s conceptually similar to Evernote clipper in that it lets you save anything you like online using a browser extension on desktop and a mobile app for android and iOS, but it has 2 main advantages: 1. it’s 100% free and 2. it’s much simpler to use.

There is no good way to organize my saves and to do group work on anything I save. For these reasons I prefer memosnag…
I am a light user of evernote. Mainly use it to save stuff I find online and to take quick notes. I switched to memosnag (memosang.com). It’s a startup, so it’s much less sophisticated, but I really like the browser plugin for Chrome and Firefox to bookmark webpages and save images, text and youtube videos. I also…
