I agree. When you send someone a naked picture of yourself, you are putting yourself at their mercy. They now have control over it, and they will have that power over you for as long as the internet exists.
hmmm.
@JoJett es macha: is it? I went over there to find an apartment in March and didn't like what I saw, which is why I am so nervous. But I was only there for a day and apparently not in nice neighborhoods, so your comment gives me hope.
@Erin Burr: haha, no I am not German, but I speak it fine.
So I am moving to Frankfurt for 6 months. It is a good work opportunity, but I will be by myself and easily lonely.
@grace ipsa loquitur: idk, give me other examples.
@SheelaNaGig: exactly what i am saying. Violence against women has been too sexified/pornified for people to actually see the horror behind it.
@Lizard in the Wires - Please, call it hamburger time.: yeah, but as a movie in the current movie/porn climate, it is an exploitation flick. Do you think it is aimed at people concerned with women's treatment in porn? Let's go to the movies and watch Lindsay Lohan be degraded, it'll be really hot.
@vitajex: Abuse porn, exactly. Who is the target audience?
@thePrototype: uh, it's domestic abuse. this is the same husband also hired 5 guys to gang-rape her in order to "break her in" for prostitution. it's not meant to be hot. this is the problem with making this movie.
Um, Linda Lovelace's life was horrifying. I hate that it is being made into a film.
um, why? surely she could have written pure fiction instead of making wild conjectures about the private lives of two dead children.
@MizJenkins: i think 14 by the end, but yes. really disrespectful and for what?
I was inordinately offended that they specified "long" in the hair part.
@PunchingButter: ... they also created lasagna, ricotta, and cheddar. every culture has this tension between culinary good and evil.
I approve this step towards equality because I think the logical progression is for everyone to get really sick of it, and then we will all be hairy again. One respect in which the 60s/70s seem quite idyllic.
@DrWorm- Papa was a rodeo: yeah I wish she hadn't said that. Loss of privileges =/= oppression, it just means things are finally getting leveled out. The article even stressed that it is still definitely a man's world at the top.
It didn't affect his whole body at once. There are pictures from shows all through the 80s where you can see he is sweating black makeup off and there is patches of white under-neath, and it looks just like everybody else's vitiligo. He just hid it until he was mostly white anyway.
