Yeah, I get it, this site is about celebrity/sex/fashion/relationships advice.

No, I said I was.

The Jezebel commenters are a very polite and constructive bunch it seems.

Also how does that person think people react to that gif thing? That is my true mental image, walking around with her tablet and being confused why everyone turns their back. How would you engage with that?

Pst...I rather not telly anyone that I enjoy a few of her songs as well. It's catchy pop music, but you can very well critique the societal implications behind it.

Well, that person has repeatedly called me a 'troll', a 'horribly misogynist', a 'homophobe' and a person who would come into threads and stir things up. Not to my posts, but replied to other people telling them that.

I'm also highly amused by what is said about me. I kinda like it considering I'm unhappy with Jez a lot of times and say it so I must ruffle quite some feathers. Not because that is fun but because I think Jez often lacks a critical view point on some issues.

From the reaction I got here it's pretty clear to me that if I critiqued Jimmy Page for kidnapping, raping and abusing a young girl I'd be told that he was a hardworking rock star on stage every night and super talented and hey, he wrote 'stairway to heaven' so what's the big deal.

I think that is really interesting that when you go back in time, Avril Lavigne back in the day also played several instruments and wrote the lyrics and melodies of her songs. She was ripped apart for being a 'poser.' On the talent level, they are many with that kind of talent.

I am adressing Swift's image on a meta level of society, you on the level of what you hear from those young girls who can relate to her.

Believe me, I can't either.

well, so far I have gotten that I'm 'nasty' lame and gross' 'tearing another woman apart' 'jealous' and a whole lotta other things for not even saying what you just said but making a point of critique.

Ah...so my opinion is 'lame and gross' (how exactly can an opinion/critique be gross by the way??) because you disagree. I don't happen to agree with you, I think there are worthwhile points of critique in Swift just as the one Lorde made.

I think I explained that pretty lengthy but if you prefer not to get my point that is fine.

Yes, I get it, making a critique apart from 'I liked her better as a brunette' is 'tearing her apart wha wha you're so mean to my idol'.

One day she was criticizing Swift's image of perfection and a millionaire world she couldn't relate to - next day she became part of exactly that word.

Did you notice how I said nothing about that? I said that Swift's entire public image is about physical perfection and a carefree millionaire life packaged with relationship issues that appeal to young women but there is nothing more about it. I don't care about what she writes about being dumped, that was not what I

Not caring for celebrity industry and critiquing (I'm very much interested in analyzing pop culture, I have no interest whatsoever in celebrity personality cult) it have just about nothing to do with your supposed 'lack of self awareness'. It's rather that you don't understand my point.

and where did my critique of Swift include anything about Minaj (whom I'm not familiar with) and her brand of music?

Well, then I don't need to reply to you since you can just read my other posts on that issue.
