That wasn’t my experience when Tomb Raider came out. I was running a decent setup then (460 sli) and my cards went from producing a stable 60 fps to a slideshow and the hair looked like an abstract painting.

What are you talking about...Hz is the refresh rate per second, so 60Hz means it refreshes 60 times per second which means the max that monitor could display would be 60fps. Now, you’ll need a beefy rig to output 60fps to a 4k monitor but I don’t know where your 30 fps came from.
