I guess you’d rather have a full on blackout/brownout than sell your electricity in the battery.

The fears are rational to have, but easily solved with a decent plan.
Inviting the state to power cycle the vehicle battery seems an easy way to wear out the battery. California and other tag along states assumed banning all ice cars will make the electric future happen. Is there enough world resources to build the electric future?
Lol. Society couldn’t get people to wear a free mask to protect others health. You think they’re going to voluntarily give up their cars energy?
I can certainly see how people would be reluctant to V2G. Am I being rightly compensated to feeding the grid? Are my home’s needs going to be met first?
“The U.S. power grid is failing but a massive V2G network could provide an unexpected boost”
For a static dedicated battery, sure. Go ahead.
This is dumb. i’m not sharing my car’s battery with anybody i would purposely find a way to turn off bi directional charging. What Happens when my battery is dead and i cant drive somewhere that has power to charge it?
There’s tons of times where the grid isn’t stressed and has excess capacity. And California is building more power generation as well.
Not on sale in my country.
Yeah, I think so too. They could have always had something fun happen if you exceeded 85, like a static-y transition then reversion to the modern dash until you dropped back under 85. Not sure if that would encourage people to drive under 85 or to surpass 85. Or both. Oh well, dash features aren’t going to prevent…
The 55 is there, but the 85 limit would be cool so you could have the “needle” peg over the limit.
Can I have this please?
Will the dashboard go completely dark (along with the tail lights) at random intervals, requiring you to pull over and change a blown fuse, just like in my 1987 Mustang GT? That would be charmingly retro.
Is this what Mustang people have been asking for? I don’t see anything Fox Body on this new Mustang, so I’m kind of flabbergasted at why this would be an advertised feature, or even worthy of a news article.
Sometimes I miss the days of pegging the speedometer on the trip reset just trying to keep up with the flow of traffic.
Hell yes, I hope they have an option for the horizontal linear speedos too.
Winamp skins circa 2022
They do have the orange 55mph line--look closely.
They should limit the speedo to 85mph with the 55mph orange line on it for maximum realism.
