I’ve heard that same argument (“you can call 9-1-1 with even an inactive phone!”) from family members and asked those exact same questions you’re asking.

Does he think that no one will notice that he’s lying?

Well....the base. A strategy that is geared toward your partisan base isn’t a good strategy.

While a team may be the last one to get screwed because of a bad call, over the course of a game it’s going to be a wash.

The really gross part is how the NFL media is following suit.

The only defense against a bad guy with a Yeti cooler is a good guy with a PROUD AMERICAN cooler.

(I say he’s in his early 20s because no man in his 30s is going to be gaming with his buddies every night for hours upon hours)

the ones I have spoken to directly always tell me they’re after the asshats weaving in and around other cars going 25+ over the limit. Funny part is, one such trooper still manages to get one of those asshats every 10 minutes on a busy day.

Saban would not be able to block him outright from attending another school unless he’s willing to have ESPN and every other sports outlet up his ass asking why he’s hurting the future of a kid who helped him win two titles.

The scholarship release isn’t actually part of why he can’t play in 2018. That’s an NCAA rule - regular transfers have to sit for a year no matter what barring a special NCAA exemption (usually only granted for major sanctions cases or serious family emergencies).

It sucks so much when Q&A audience members make the question about themselves.

I think it really depends on the topic. I actually really liked the PB&J article, because it’s so random - if you’d asked me what I thought NBA players really liked to eat, “PB&J sandwiches” wouldn’t have even cracked my Top 500. And the fact that they actually do weird stuff with it was legitimately entertaining

they’re going to want to run away from the 2020 bloodbath and be able to say they never really supported him once it was clear he was unfit for office, and endorsing him now and then unendorsing him later solely because he is doing the same shit people already hate is going to look pretty silly.

The playbook here is pretty obvious:

I think the key here is really what the Spurs’ goal is. Do you want to compete for NBA Finals berths and titles? Or are you fine with winning 50 regular season games and getting gentleman-swept in Round 1 or 2?

Yeah that’s the part I think is bizarre too. Let’s give Kawhi the benefit of the doubt that he’s too injured to play (defined however he wishes). Even with that, it’s pretty standard protocol for dudes to show up and cheer for a playoff game. This isn’t some random January back-to-back against a bottom-feeder, this is

People do continually change, but the rate of change differs over life. I won’t speak for anyone else, but when I look at the difference between “20 year old me” and “25 year old me”, we’re talking about enormous differences in patience, style, ability to deal with people, and attitude...not to mention the fact that

Biggest mistake, imo, was getting married at an age where we absolutely did not know ourselves

It’s incredible, they destroyed the long-term survivability of the party for short-term gain.

clothing (omg, better prices than most post-season stores!)
