Yeah, I saw the movie last night. It’s got super low stakes compared to the rest of the MCU.

Ghost is not attempting to destroy the world in this movie, so I don’t know what you think you saw in the trailer.

Just got back from seeing it and thought it was good fun, if a bit overstuffed with characters.

I disagree. The first Ant-man is a lean and fun origin story. Its biggest “failure” is that it took place in the 2nd phase of the MCU when everyone was already tired of the origin story. But then I might only be defending it because it’s one of the few movies where there’s a Latino character with speaking lines (RIP

But he sure likes letting us know how much more intelligent he is than us stupid Marvel fans!

I know, it’s a huge bore when someone keeps endlessly expressing the same well-worn thought.

There are some other bigger typos in this article as well.

Wow, you really don't like these movies huh?

Grammar nerd question: As structured, doesn’t this sentence...

“Hey mang, I don’t feel so good, it’s kinda like when my cousin Chuy was out buying a watch a  n  d .  .  .  .”

I presume it’s that one ant in the trailer, playing the drums.

Ghost is a completely different villain (and a dude) in the comics so it makes sense they're only using the character as more of an antihero in the movie

Isn’t there some plot point about Ghost destroying the world? I mean, neither are like Hawkeye and Black Widow, but they at least are always on clean up duty.

They put his ankle monitor on an ant. Either that means they shrunk the ankle monitor or (and I really hope it’s this) that giant “messed up looking dog” ant his daughter kept as a pet is still around.

Unfortunately I think it’s a double-edged sword with Janet, because if you have a female character who loves fashion and wears various cute outfits, you will get think pieces galore about how Marvel hates women and how a woman hasn’t had her own solo film yet but she can have her own fashion line. I think that the

He actually got Hank Pym’s Giant Man powers for a while in the late ‘60s/early ‘70s and used the name Goliath.

No, I was specifically referring to Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) who apparently returns from thr Quantum Realm in the new film.

“You know you can use that ring to create anything you want, right?”

That’s Hope Van Dyne as the Wasp so that might explain her lack of levity, especially if she grew up without her Mom for most of her life.
