Well, several people involved with the show said that there was so much story to fit into these last eight episodes.  Rabid Dog does not bear that out; it was much slower paced and included fewer surprises than I expected.  I thought cliffhanger was a bit lame and predictable.

Walt is a master manipulator.  That's how I see it.  Might be wrong, but it's my interpretation.

Not convinced of this at all.  Walt is smart enough to know that Hank and Jesse, while not friends, have a mutual enemy.

How about Walt calling Todd?

Skyler was not using Walt when she suggested murdering Jesse.  I don't think so anyway.  I think it was a (yet another) clever manipulation on Walt's part to make it appear to Skyler that it was her idea.  That way, when Walt does kill Jesse, Walt appears less revolting to his wife.

So…do they bring fucking idiot celebrities on Talking Bad because they think we're too stupid to understand what's going on?  Or do they not trust the cast of the show to be sufficiently entertaining?

Somebody help me understand what happened.

I assume you're talking about the flash forward from the first episode.  Well, obviously, the house did not burn to the ground.  Seems like with all that gas, maybe he didn't burn it after all, since the place would have been gone.

Author should have done a find and replace on the word "actually."  Replace it with nothing.

From the few minutes I saw during a promo, Low Winter Sun looks like just another god damn cop show.  There are only about a million of those on TV.  There's no doubt it will be difficult if not impossible to replace BB.  But Low Winter Sun surely isn't it.

I have to agree with you.  Sometimes a joint is just a joint.

Not as dramatic if he has to walk over to the side door and press the button :)

Show of hands on whether Walt himself takes the ricin.

I'm not a Star Trek fan.  I found that whole scene annoying as hell, especially Skinny Pete.  That dude is a terrible actor.  He just overacts to the point of it looking like he has no experience acting.  The scene was filler.

I would shoot the TV if that happened.  I don't own a gun, but I would procure one, wait seven days (or whatever the hell it is now), wait until that episode came on again, and shoot the TV.

I will make a comment on the quality of the show, though it's a minor complaint.

Don't know if anyone will see this, but I rewatched this episode after it appeared on Netflix.  (Side note: why in the hell didn't S4 make it to Netflix BEFORE S5 premiered?  They're doing it right this time at least.)

Good show, probably four stars.  Loses a star because of Laura Prepon.  She is the worst actor in the show.  She acts as if she's still in a sitcom.  She delivers each line with an annoying little verbal smirk, and too quickly, as if it must be allowed a two-second follow-up of silence to make room for the laugh track.

I've watched the first three episodes.  I'm really enjoying the prison scenes.  I also really enjoy the background story of the black tranny (can't remember her name now).  Lots of good drama between her and her family.  She's an excellent actor.  Crazy Eyes is pretty good too.
